Komaki claimed that it is the first manufacturer to introduce fire-resistant batteries in India. The battery pack uses lithium-ion Ferro phosphate (LiFePO4) compound. The iron content in the batteries makes it a safer choice as compared to conventional technology. Along with this, the number of cells in each battery has been reduced by 1/3rd, thereby reducing the amount of heat generated during its operation. These batteries can take up to 2500-3000 charge cycles. Apart from these mechanical changes, Komaki has also employed a foolproof technology that notifies the users and dealers about the battery health of the vehicle. The new battery management system is capable of updating the battery condition status every few seconds to ensure maximum safety. This also allows the OEM to repair the battery from a central location and avoid any damage during transit. Komaki also uses a new active balancing system helps to actively balance the battery cells every few seconds.

The electric two-wheeler follows the typical design language which we have seen in other Komaki products. The company has played around with colours and the use of blue is quite evident which speaks of its EV identity. In terms of styling, the Venice ECO gets a round LED headlamp upfront with Komaki branding on the front panel. Other important features of the electric two-wheeler include an additional backrest, a comfortable seat with boot space, Advanced TFT Screen with Navigation, a front storage compartment and a dedicated button for Self Diagnosis and Repair. It is available in 6 distinctive colour options, namely Garnet Red, Sacramento Green, Jet Black, Metallic Blue, Bright Orange and Silver Chrome.

Powering the electric scooter is a LiPO4 battery pack capable of withstanding more than 2000 charge cycles. It is mated to an Interior Permanent Magnet Brushless Motor with a 32 Amp high-efficiency controller with regenerative braking. The Venice Eco comes in 4 ride modes, Eco, Comfort, Sport and Turbo. The charging time for the battery is around 304 hours and the battery will only consume 1.2-2 units per charge cycle. The claimed electric driving range is rated at 85-100 kilometres on a single charge. The braking duties are handled by disc brakes at the front and a drum setup for the rear.

Making the announcement, Gunjan Malhotra Director of Komaki Electric Division said,

Komaki has emerged as one of the leading players in the green and clean mobility domain by building repute and customer trust through manufacturing of EVs which are of high quality, high performance, safe, rigid design, low maintenance, and long life.
